Founded by TJ Hampton and officially launching The Dojo on December 30, 2007, Karate Karaoke became home to some of the city’s boldest karaoke warriors.

From wild nights at Vince Neil’s “Girls, Girls, Girls” to cosplay karaoke and packed after-parties, the mic at Karate Karaoke isn’t just for singing - it’s for leveling up.

Before founding Karate Karaoke, TJ spent years navigating corporate America selling everything from knives and copiers to software solutions, all while dreaming of a more adventurous life. What started as karaoke hosting eventually grew into a career DJing and emceeing for companies including Pepsi, SentinelOne, Intel, The Home Depot, and The Walt Disney Company.

The Dojo only exists because people step up and sing in it, and every performance keeps the party alive.
